Professor Steve Dovers is Director of the Fenner School of Environment and Society, Australian National University. He undertakes research and teaching in sustainable development, natural resource management and disaster policy. His recent works include second editions of the 'Handbook of disaster policies and institutions’ (with J Handmer, Routledge, 2013) and ‘Environment and sustainability: a policy handbook’ (with K Hussey, Federation Press, 2013).

Steve is also an ANU Public Policy Fellow and Honorary Professorial Fellow at Charles Darwin University.
