Dr Anthony Budd is one of the few geologists who have worked in the minerals, geothermal and petroleum resource sectors. This has included 20 years working with the nation’s geological survey, Geoscience Australia. Anthony’s geothermal work focused on providing information about Australia’s little-known geothermal potential. This included acquiring new mapping data, providing advice to government and information to the public, and international collaboration. Anthony conducted a Geothermal Capability Project with sister organisation the National Geothermal Institute of India, and he serves as Australia’s technical representative on the International Partnership for Geothermal Technology.
