Kaori Ikeda is the science policy officer for the Australian Brain Alliance and a postdoctoral research fellow at the Eccles Institute of Neuroscience at the Australian National University. Kaori received her BA from the University of Colorado in Molecular Biology in 2002 before moving to Canberra to pursue a PhD in Neuroscience at the John Curtin School of Medical Research. Kaori's PhD research investigated the properties of synaptic transmission in cultured neurons. More recently, she has been interested in understanding how visual information from the two eyes is integrated within single neurons in the binocular visual cortex.
