Applications are now open to Australian Early- and Mid-Career Researchers (EMCRs) for the Theo Murphy Initiative (Australia) 2023–24 grant program.
The Theo Murphy Initiative was established by the Royal Society to further scientific discovery. The fund is administered by the Australian Academy of Science and provides grant funding to support career development opportunities for Australia’s EMCRs in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
Applications close at 5pm AEST on 6 November 2023.

The Canada Gairdner International Award recognises outstanding researchers whose unique scientific contributions have increased the understanding of human biology and disease and contributed to the relief of human suffering. CN$100,000 is available.

SpinalCure Australia recently announced the inaugural I. Peter Farrell SpinalCure Fellowship for early- and mid-career researchers focused on advancing a cure for spinal cord injury. The fellowship provides A$1.5 million over five years for a researcher 3–10 years post PhD.

Nomination to the Wolf Prize is by invitation only. Awarded to outstanding scientists for their achievements for the benefit of mankind in the following fields in 2022: Chemistry, Physics, Agriculture, Mathematics and Architecture. US$100,000 is available in each prize area.

Amelia Earhart Fellowship
Zonta International offers Amelia Earhart Fellowships to promote more women in the field of aerospace science and engineering. The Fellowships, of US$10,000, are awarded annually to 30 talented women, pursuing PhDs or doctoral degrees in aerospace-applied science or aerospace-applied engineering around the globe.
