The Catalysing Australia–Japan Science and Innovation symposium has been postponed to early 2022 due to the uncertainty brought by COVID restrictions around venue capacity and interstate travel. The organising committee hopes the new date will allow it to deliver an engaging event full of networking opportunities.
Abstract submissions have been extended to allow EMCRs in lockdown the opportunity to submit their abstract to present at the event.
The annual symposium of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science Alumni Association in Australia (JSPSAAA) is back in 2021 and is an opportunity to celebrate the collaborative links between Australia and Japan.
Catalysing Australia–Japan Science and Innovation is the fourth edition of the JSPSAAA annual symposium. The event aims to give researchers the opportunity to present the collaborative work between Australia and Japan and explore the possibilities that bilateral collaboration can bring to their research.
The Australian Academy of Science, through the Theo Murphy Initiative (Australia), is offering a number of mobility grants to support a diversity of EMCRs and PhD students in Australia to attend the event.
The mobility grants are designed to offset the expenses associated with attending for those participants who may not be able to attend without support and/or people from traditionally underrepresented demographics.
The mobility grants can be used to cover costs associated with attendance to the event, such as caring responsibilities, travel, accommodation, and any other support required to facilitate your attendance.
You can apply for a mobility grant when submitting your abstract to present.
