The EMCR Forum welcomes Jana Phan, EMCR Policy Analyst, to the team
Jana Phan completed her PhD in genetics (agricultural science) at the University of Adelaide in 2018 and has joined the Science Policy section at the Australian Academy of Science to pursue her interests in science policy analysis and development. Her interest in policy started when she was an intern and then consultant at the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, where she worked on the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture.
In addition to her interests in science and policy, Jana enjoys rock climbing, eating hot chips and puns, for example: Why did the agricultural scientist win the Nobel Prize? Because they were outstanding in their field.
