The Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering (ATSE), in collaboration with the Australian Academy of Science, will deliver the Australian Government’s $18.2 million Global Science and Technology Diplomacy Fund – Strategic Element, a key part of the new $60.2 million GSTDF fund.
Over the next four years, the fund will support international collaboration to enhance Australia’s profile in science and technology research and application. Australian business, entrepreneurs and researchers can capitalise on international opportunities to commercialise their cutting-edge products and services and strengthen scientific collaborations.

The JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship Program for Foreign Researchers provides opportunities for Australian postdoctoral researchers to conduct cooperative research with leading research groups in universities and other Japanese institutions. Applications are invited from suitably qualified researchers in any field of the physical sciences, life sciences, engineering, technology and medicine.
Fellowships are awarded for a period of 12–24 months and include flights, a monthly maintenance allowance, a settling-in allowance and insurance coverage.

The Academy invites expressions of interest from junior scientists, under 30 years of age, to visit the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the United States of America. The duration of the visit is expected to be between 6 and 13 weeks and must occur between 1 May 2023 and 1 March 2024.
The prize includes a contribution towards the direct return air travel between Australia and the host institution up to a maximum of US$3,000, and a once-off living allowance of up to a maximum of A$400 provided by the Adam J. Berry Memorial Fund (AJBMF). Additionally, a small daily stipend during the stay in America may be available at the discretion of the NIH host lab.
