Nominations and applications are open for the Academy’s 2025 funding awards, including research conferences, research awards and travelling fellowships.

Grants between A$100,000 and $1,000,000 are available for eligible Australian organisations collaborating on key areas of science and technology with priority partner countries across the Asia-Pacific region.

TÜBA Academy Prizes are annually awarded to the nominated scientists in Basic and Engineering Sciences, and Health and Life Sciences. The award is comprised of an Academy medal and US$30,000.

The Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering (ATSE) Awards recognise the best and brightest of Australian science and engineering, across a range of Awards for STEM leaders and up and coming innovators. Registrations for awards information sessions are now open. Winners will be announced at the ATSE Awards Gala Dinner on Thursday 17 October 2024 in Melbourne.

Awarded to researchers who have shown great courage and integrity in standing up for science and scientific reasoning against fierce opposition and hostility. There are two categories: early career and lifetime achievement. Each winner receives €5,000 and their work will be featured on Nature.com.

The Prince Mahidol Award is awarded to individuals or institutions for their outstanding performance and/or research in medicine that contributes directly to the betterment of society. There will be one award in medicine and one in public health, worth US$100,000 each.
