On 22 May 2024, the Academy made a submission to the policy review of the National Competitive Grants Program (NCGP) of the Australian Research Council.
The submission recommends among others, that the NCGP be the primary mechanism for driving investment in basic research, implement mission-led research to enable multidisciplinary collaboration, and changes to the objectives of the NCGP.
