In May 2016, the Academy will introduce a new Annual Giving Program to support its work in science and mathematics education, celebrating excellence in science, nurturing young talent, improving gender equity and ensuring that evidence underpins public policy. The Academy received many enquiries at the end of last financial year about making regular donations—the new Annual Giving Program will provide the opportunity to donate at tax time. Of course, many donors want to support the Academy when it suits them and we are moving towards a new system which will ensure that donations can be received using donors’ preferred method, at any time.
The Academy will also provide opportunities for donors to support their favourite programs and to engage with the people who work on those programs.
In 2016 the Academy will take to the road, giving Fellows opportunities to meet each other in various capital cities, listen to talks, share ideas and challenges, and meet industry representatives. We will keep you informed with all the details as we finalise our plans.
