Mr Boden is actively involved in chemical manufacture and in the publication of scientific books. He was Vice-President of the Australian Chemical Industry Council in 1968, elected Fellow of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute in 1970, President of the Sydney University Chemical Society in 1970, President of the NSW branch of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute in 1970, and chairman of the Foundation for Inorganic Chemistry of the University of Sydney since 1973. Boden is an extremely generous benefactor of a wide range of institutions. Boden is not just an entrepreneur in chemical manufacture and book publishing. He has also taken a very active part in writing science texts, especially books designed for high school students.
