On 18 July 2024, the Academy made a submission to the Environment and Communications Legislation Committee, on amendments to the Nature Positive (Environment Protection Australia) Bill 2024.
The Academy recommends that a strong definition of 'Nature Positive' must be adopted, and establishing EPA and EIA as statutory bodies with independent governance boards.
