The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Scientist Award recognises research in the physical and biological sciences, allowing interdisciplinary and sociocultural research that could straddle the social sciences and humanities, by outstanding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander PhD students and early- and mid-career scientists.
Awards will be for up to A$20,000, with additional support provided to attend the Academy's biennial Science at the Shine Dome event.

The Rudi Lemberg Travelling Fellowship enables either Australian or overseas scientists of standing to visit Australian scientific centres and to deliver lectures.
The Lemberg Fellow may be drawn from any field of biology, but special consideration will be given to those areas in which Professor Lemberg had an especial interest, namely biochemistry, conservation and the Australian flora.
Up to A$15,000 is available to cover economy class airfares and assistance towards living expenses. The amount offered is subject to a budget and detailed itinerary.
Individuals cannot self-nominate for this award.

The Falling Walls Lab is a fast-paced and exciting event that provides a platform for young researchers to share their research, business model or initiative to an eminent jury comprising academia, business and government.

Winners from the heats will compete at the FWL Australia Finale on Monday 18 September in Canberra. The three Australia Finale winners will receive a return trip to Berlin and entry to the Falling Walls Science Summit in November 2023.
