Professor Roger Short AM FAA FRS—for a career in research and scholarly activities in the reproductive biology field; awarded by the Society for the Study of Reproduction.
This is the society’s highest award. Of the 47 previous recipients, Professor Short is the only Australian to have received this award. This award is supported by a grant from Cook Medical.

Jagadish FAA FTSE—for pioneering and sustained contributions to compound semiconductor quantum well, quantum dot and nanowire optoelectronic devices and their integration; to be awarded by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Photonics Society (IPS) at the 2015 IEEE Photonics Conference (IPC) in October 2015.
