Australian experts will highlight Australia’s research expertise in disaster management, climate science and biodiversity in a series of seminars in Malaysia this year.
The series, organised by the Academy and the Department of Education and Training’s Counsellor Education and Science in Kuala Lumpur, aims to encourage collaboration between leading Australian and Malaysian experts.
Academy Fellow Professor Hugh Possingham FAA was the first speaker in the series. In February, he delivered a number of talks and seminars on biodiversity and ecosystem conservation at Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS); the University of Science, Malaysia, in Penang; and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in Selangor.
