Professor Cyrille Boyer is a world-renowned polymer chemist. His pioneering work on light-activated polymerisation using photocatalysts has transformed the way we create and manipulate polymers – the fundamental components of countless everyday materials. This innovation has enabled the precise synthesis of intricate polymers and polymeric nanoparticles, opening new possibilities in fields such as antimicrobial polymers, advanced 3D-printed materials and sophisticated nanoparticle design.
