Tony Linnane

Professor Anthony (Tony) Linnane is distinguished for his studies on the biogenesis of mitochondria and mitochondrial respiratory enzymes, particularly in yeast, and on the selective effects of antibiotics on intramitochondrial and cytoplasmic protein synthesis. Linnane is now internationally recognised as one of the leaders in these fields.
