On 8 November 2024, the Academy made a joint submission with the ARC Centre of Excellence in Synthetic Biology to the Opportunities in the Circular Economy inquiry.

On 11 October 2024, the Academy made a submission to the Independent Forestry Panel, which has been established to engage with stakeholders to inform the development of the Forestry Industry Action Plan by the NSW Government.

On 30 September 2024, the Academy made a submission on the Nature Repair Market Legislation.

On 20 September 2024, the Academy made a submission on ‘A new Australian Government drought plan’.

On 16 September 2024, the Academy and Future Earth Australia made a submission to the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water on the department’s Draft Sustainable Ocean Plan.

On 26 July 2024, the Academy made a submission to the Australian Government's Green Metals Consultation Paper.

On 18 July 2024, the Academy made a submission to the Environment and Communications Legislation Committee, on amendments to the Nature Positive (Environment Protection Australia) Bill 2024.

On 11 July 2024, the Australian Academy of Science, Future Earth Australia, and the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia made a joint submission to the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts, on the Draft National Urban Policy.
